Tesis Islam Indonesia

Ramai para sarjana Indonesia yang menyambung pelajaran di merata universiti. Salah satu negara yang menjadi tumpuan mereka adalah Australia. Kenapa ramai yang ke Australia? Pertama kerana jarak antara kedua negara tidak begitu jauh dan keduanya kerana banyak bantuan dana pelajaran yang diberikan oleh Australia kepada pelajar Indonesia.

Banyak pula mereka yang menulis tesis mengenai Islam di Indonesia. Tesis tersebut dikemukakan di Jabatan yang berkaitan sains sosial seperti Sosiologi, Antropologi, Kemasyarakatan dan sebagainya. Berikut adalah beberapa judul tesis pengajian Islam yang telah ditulis oleh pelajar Indonesia di Australia;

5. Dindin Solahudin – “The workshop for morality: The Islamic cretivity of Pesantren Daarut Tauhid in Bandung, Java.” MA Thesis, ANU, 1996

6. Zulkifli – “Sufism in Java: The role of the Pesantren in the maintenance of sufism in Java.” MA Thesis, ANU, 1994.

7. Endang Turmudi – “Struggling for the Umma: Changing leadership roles of Kiai in Jombang, East Java.” PhD Thesis, ANU, 1996
